Sex Racket In Bhubaneswar! 23 Bangladeshi Girls Rescued

Bhubaneswar, Nov 25: In a shocking incident, as many as  23 women from Bangladesh were reportedly trapped in illegal sex trade operating in Bhubaneswar.

The women are believed to be victims of a larger human trafficking operation. They were allegedly lured to Bhubaneswar with promises of job, offering daily wages of Rs 2,000. However, upon arrival, what they faced was a life of exploitation and abuse.

According to reports,  the agents contact customers through WhatsApp, Instagram and other social media platforms. The agents then send pictures of the girls from which the customer has to choose one.

Later, the customer is made to pay an advance payment before he goes to the hotel where the girl is waiting.

Police sources confirmed that efforts are underway to trace the main culprits behind the racket. “We are treating this case with utmost priority. Our teams are investigating the networks involved, including the role of social media in trafficking and exploitation,” said a senior officer.
