Prez Murmu’s Odisha Visit: Commissionerate Police Issues Traffic Advisory

Bhubaneswar, Dec 2: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Odisha on Tuesday (December 2) to attend various programmes in Bhubaneswar. She will stay in the capital city till December 6.

In view of security and to ensure better regulation and free flow of traffic, the Commissionerate Police has clamped a traffic regulations for these days.

Here is the traffic restriction:

on 05.12.2024 at 5 PM to 7 PM no heavy vehicles / buses are allowed to ply on the road i.e. from Kalpana Square to Lingipur Squqre. and vice versa.

Heavy vehicles / Buses coming from Puri side intending to go towards Bhubaneswar / Cuttack side will avail the Bypass road at Lingipur Chhak and proceed through Keshura Chhak and Pandra chhak. Similarly, heavy vehicles / buses coming from Cuttack /

Bhubaneswar side intending to go towards Puri will also avail the same route via Puri Bypass road.
However, the restriction will not applicable for the emergency vehicles (Fire and Ambulance).

According to reports, on December 4, the President will do puja at Shri Jagannath Temple by President between 10.15-10.40 am. At 3.55pm, (December 4) President to be the Chief Guest at Navy Day operational demonstration at Puri blue flag beach.  On December 5, she will be Chief Guest at 40th Convocation of OUAT

On the same day, President will be Chief Guest at the inauguration of New Judicial Court Complex in Bhubaneswar

On December 6 & 7, President will be in Mayurbhanj district and at around 12.35pm on December 7, the President will leave Odisha.

President Murmu last visited Odisha in July 2024.
