Cuttack: 30 Minutes More For Melodies At Bali Yatra  

Cuttack, Nov 17: The Cuttack district administration has allowed 30 Minutes more for melodies at Bali Yatra after police following stipulated rules stopped singer from performing after 10pm yesterday.

According to officials, permission to use sound systems and loud speakers at Bali Yatra has been extended till 10.30pm in the larger interest of general public By Cuttack Collector.

Cultural troupes from different countries, state and districts have been invited to show case their culture, tradition and reach heritage during observation historic Bali Yatra at Ganakabi Baishnab Pani Mancha and Akshay Mohanty Mancha. Lakhs of people from across the state are coming to the Bali Yatra to witness the Asia’s largest open trade fair which is also recognised as State Level Utsav to showcase its rich heritage and enjoy cultural programmes.

Cuttack Collector, Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, exercising his power conferred upon U/s 5(3) of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000 (As amended till 10/08,/2017 vide S.O. 2555(E) of Ministry of Environment & Forests , Govt of India) accorded necessary permission to use the sound systems/loud speakers till 10:30 PM w.e.f. 17.11.2024 to 22.11.2024 of both Ganakabi Baishnab Pani Mancha and Akshay Mohanty Mancha at Lower Baliyatra Ground in the larger interest of general public.

Besides, Additional District Magistrate, (General), Cuttack has been designated as “Nodal Officer” for implementation of the directive.
