The Central University of Odisha (CUO) is celebrating its 16th Foundation Day on 29th August 2024 at its main Campus, Sunabeda in Koraput.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Chakradhar Tripathi, will unfurl the University Flag and address the gathering in the morning.
Further, the VC will preside over the Foundation Day programme. Prof. B.N.Ramesh, IPS (Retd.), former DGP of West Bengal and Professor, Maharashtra Law University will deliver the Foundation Day Lecture.
Er Sudhir Samal, Executive Director, NALCO, Damanjodi will attend the programme as the Chief Guest.
Established by the Government of India in 2009, CUO has grown significantly and now offers a wide range of academic programs, including 14 Post Graduate programmes, one integrated programme, one B.Ed. programme, three 4-year B.Sc. programmes, a Japanese language course, one Hindi certificate course and nine Ph.D. programs under nine different schools of study.
In last one year, around 50 new faculty members have joined the University.The University is committed to continue its growth, both academically and infrastructurally, to make itself a leading institution that meets the aspirations of the people of this region and the State.
In line with the National Education Policy 2020, the University has recently launched two new programs this month: M.Sc. in Botany and Zoology.
The University completed fifteen years of its journey.
