Are You Navigating Through Fog? A Road Safety Advisory

As Odisha is grappling with dense fog these days, an advisory is issued by the Transport department to address the challenges faced by the road users due to reduced visibility and potential risk of accidents on the roads.

In view of this, Transport Department urges citizens to prioritize safety by taking the following measures:

1. Reduce vehicle speed and allow more time for reaching the destination.
2. Maintain adequate distance between vehicles to help brake in time.
3. Keep the head lights on, at all times while driving in fog. Use fog lampto enhance visibility in foggy conditions.
4. Keep an eye on road markings and be mindful of the turnings and other road signages.
5. Drive with utmost concentration and avoid distractions like mobile phones, earphones, loud music etc.
